My Apartment in Japan

So, what do my living quarters look like?  How cramped are they?

Well, to satiate your curiosity, here's a video tour of my apartment!

My apartment is big enough for me, really.  I love that it has sufficient space for me to spread out my belongings but not too much space; I don't want to spend my time in Japan cleaning every nook and cranny of my living room.

My rent is automatically taken out of my paycheck (about 40,000 yen, which is roughly $400).  I have to pay electricity, gas, and my phone bill on my own.  Electricity bills can be paid at a Lawson Station or any convenience store, but I have go to an ATM to pay for my gas.  My phone bill is charged to my credit card every month.

Enjoy!

  1. Hi, Celeste, it's Gaither. So excited for you! I'll be following your blog and look forward to hearing about your adventure as it unfolds. Soak everything up and bring it back with you. We could use a taste of Eastern culture here in the bayou!
